Age 55+ Senior Housing Community

Project Vision

Redevelopment of the former Elks Lodge and adjacent apartment rental house within the Commercial Corridor Overlay District to create a 147-unit independent senior living community serving residents aged 55+. The facility provides a range of on-site services and amenities, including a pub, salon, theater, and dining spaces. The project delivers much-needed senior housing consistent with the goals of Weymouth’s Housing Production Plan.

Legal Strategy

DTM Law represented the developer throughout planning and permitting. Attorneys Jeff Tocchio and Scott Golding led a collaborative process with town officials and stakeholders to repurpose outdated properties. The project involved approvals from the Zoning Board of Appeals, Conservation Commission, Health Department, Licensing Commissioners, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, and the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission.

Outcome

DTM Law obtained all required local and state approvals. Construction is complete and the facility is fully operational, delivering much-needed senior housing to the community.
