Mark A. Tocchio
Mark practices in the areas of land use, real estate development, environmental, litigation, and business law. He represents private clients, developers, and municipalities in zoning, permitting, and property-related matters throughout Massachusetts.
Mark regularly appears before municipal boards and commissions, including Zoning Boards of Appeals, Planning Boards, and Boards of Health, and works with state and local agencies on permitting and regulatory compliance. His practice includes special permits, variances, zoning appeals, nonconforming-use issues, and disputes arising from complex development and infrastructure projects.
He also represents clients in state and federal court litigation, including jury trials, involving eminent domain, real estate, and land-use matters. His experience includes cases addressing property rights, valuation, and environmental impacts, as well as advising clients on complex regulatory frameworks, including Superfund and Brownfields redevelopment matters coordinated with MassDEP and the EPA.
Prior to joining DTM Law, Mark practiced at a Boston law firm representing municipalities and municipal boards. He has also served in federal and state government, including as a legislative staff member in the United States Congress.
