Project
DTM Law serves as legal counsel to Quarry Hills Associates, the developer and operator of the Granite Links Golf Club, a transformative public-private project spanning 540 acres across the City of Quincy and the Town of Milton. The Quarry Hills recreation complex was formerly a combination of active and closed landfills and former quarries. Quarry Hills Associates capped the landfills and quarries, making use of 13 million tons of excess excavated material from Boston’s “Big Dig” Project, laying the foundation for the construction of a 27-hole championship golf course with multiple restaurants, recreational amenities and function facilities.
DTM Law provides legal counsel that touches all aspects of the public-private facilities, including permitting and approvals, municipal and legislative requirements, solid waste regulation, municipal leasing, and development.
Outcome
The property has evolved into one of the leading semi-private golf clubs in the Commonwealth and plays an active role as a source of public recreation and revenues, employment and economic growth.
